Construction Volunteers
Work days are Wednesday
and/or Saturday (except holiday weekends) 8:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
(arrive at
7:45 a.m. for
orientation) for projects in Georgetown. In Round Rock, workdays are
Fridays (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and Saturday (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.). Go to
“Current Projects”
to
find site locations and directions.
All skill levels welcome. If possible
bring a tape measure, utility knife,
hammer, pencil, tool-belt and gloves. Volunteers
should either bring
their lunch on build days in December 2007.
Lunch
is provided on the construction site each Wednesday and Saturday
beginning January 2008.
ReStore Volunteers

- Partner Family Selection
– review applications, interview potential partner families,
and develop

organize homeowner education classes for partner families
Partner family mentors
are effective in their role with the partner families
- Finance
– oversee the accounting, record-keeping, investments and
reporting of financial matters
- Marketing/Communication
– develop and implement the marketing plan for the
organization
- Resource
Development – develop and implement monetary and in-kind
resource development
Partner Family Mentor
2-4 hours per month for 12
– 18 months
A mentor guides a partner
family through
the process of attending homeowner preparation classes,
completing
volunteer hours and the
purchase of the
home.
